My local CD Shop tells me... they won't carry ONAL I am considering ordering it through Amazon.ca. Has anyone purhased ONA Live from them? | |

No, not really... but the manager told me, they are not affilliated with the label... kind of a strange explanation.

actually, they can only be ordered "one-way", meaning that if he orders more than he can sell, he cannot send them back for credit. It is really only done with vinyl (main reason no one stocks or is even willing to special order wax for you)
The other issue is that no major one-stop or distributor has the damn thing in stock. My store (Underground Sounds in Louisville KY --shameless plug) got one order, sold immediately, and then was told there were no more until beginning 2003. Here it is one week in, and still no one has it in stock. Big Daddy in N.O. has really dropped the ball. couldn't Prince have at least used Bellmark? Tiny ass label, but still you could ALWAYS get 1800NEWFUNK CD's... Sheesh | |

I don't know...I have everything the club has released this year w/o the $100. I got Xpectation the day after it came out, and the same with the 5 dowmloads.. MJ

Since this subject has arisen...
I ordered ONA Live online from J & R Music on December 20. I was told at the time that I placed my order that it would not arrive by Christmas. That did not bother me -- I was choosing the free shipping option anyway, plus I figured they were told to start shipping orders on some future date, in order to increase the likelihood that NPGMC members received theirs first. Anyway, I received the ONA Live box set on December 23 -- a pleasant surprise. I was able to obtain the ONA piano album prior to receiving the live set, and I have since managed to find Xpectation as well. Total cost: $39.99. That said, I would have purchased all of these projects had they been released to retail outlets: the ONA piano album is incredible, as is Xpectation. | |

got mine thru the club.. but want to purchase one for my friend...went to best buy and there all out..said that they only had 2 shipped to them, the largest best buy in atlanta only had 4 shipped to them,,,however just went to bestbuy.com and placed and order there... will receive it by thursday... | |
