So I have a friend who is a Target manager, and he said Prince was one of the acts who played at their managers meeting in Minneapolis last night (along with Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, and Faith Hill). I'm still waiting for any kind of real report, because his email gave me nothing--no setlist, no band lineup, nada. It was at the Target headquarters.

But I do think it's interesting that he played there. I guess that suggests he's happy with his deal with the company and his relationship with them overall.

I hope this isn't a crappy thread just because I have very little info. I'll try to find out more and report back...

He did not play at the Target Fall National Meeting on Wednesday.

Shakira, Faith Hill and Black Eyed Peas played and there was an appearance by Renee Zellweger (or hovever her name is spelled).

Rumor has it he was scheduled to play but had injured his hip. No lie. This is what I was told by a target insider who has no knowledge of past Prince hip rumors.


Rumor also has it he IS under contract to play for us (Target) at some point. So here's hoping it's our next national meeting in the spring.
