"We can't help ourselves / We all wanna be Prince" "We can't help ourselves / We all wanna be Prince": a typical lyric from "We All Wanna Be Prince", the opening track to Felix Da Housecat's new album, "He Was King".
Fun track. Lots of references (music + lyrics). Seems he's filmed a video for it with people dressed in "typical" Prince/Revolution/etc outfits, but it's not out yet. © Bart Van Hemelen

The video sounds like it should be good. 
'We All Wanna Be Prince' is fun, but not that enthused by the album itself though tbh. I liked a couple of tracks, but the one that loops the intro to 'Open Your Heart' by the Human League just ruins that track for me, I can't listen to it. Too few ideas overall. | |

Lots of remixes at that link, plus this: "Every lyric of this is from a Prince song" exclaims Felix Stallings. The Housecat is going on 10 lives with the release of his new LP He Was King. It features 12 synth-pop, soon-to-be-classics with a fun, campy electro twist as only Felix can summon. With goodies like "KickDrum" and "Spank You Very Much", it was made for the heart and the floor. And to think "We All Wanna Be Prince" was a last minute addition that almost never was! Fooling around in the studio, his engineer came up with a kick and stab that was pure Prince and just like the Purple One, Felix recorded his vocals in half time, sped them up in the computer giving them an "Erotic City" delivery over a classic "Dirty Mind" feel. They realized they were on to something and so did Felix's friends who contributed remixes. Joachim Garraud, Paper Faces (aka Stuart Price & Adam Blake), Danny Howells, Italy's port-royal and Grey Ghost & Deth Hertz keep the paisley flowing with 9 great tweaky electro house versions. "We All Wanna Be Prince" debuts digitally 7/6 on spinner.com and He Was King is out this August on Nettwerk.

I tried to buy the single and all it did was take me to a page to download the free mp3. I want all the mixes not just the one.
