I'm so glad other people love this song as much as I do.
I was influenced by this song - and album cover - even though at that time I didn't even know who Prince was. And it took me years to figure out it was the same guy singing the pop hit 'Kiss' That is the wonder of Prince! To know him is to love him! Also it was one of the first songs that I ever heard and thought 'Wow, this person has something to say'. And I thought 'Wow, this song is so unpretentious' and without any kind of airs or graces. I loved it. It is what it is. Shut up already, damn. | |
