PrintableI love the opening with let's go crazy she's always kiss etc etcetc
but i find the rest a bit too.....well meh... The dancers and what not going on.....the tin foil costumes, bar princes blue suit, which is well very prince and forgiveable but: the gypsy look at the end? possibly the lamest 1999 i've ever heard? I've got time for it but have never rated any of this performance.... I VERY MUCH AGREE THAT THIS IS MORE OF A PARTY THAN A CONCERT BUT HECK THERE'S PLENTY MORE ELSE WHERE IF YOUR LOOKING FOR QUALITY SHOWMANSHIP  | |

If you whittle down some of the stuff, put The Time stuff at the beginning, nix Lenny totally. Get rid of Purple House, The Christ, and a few other lame parts, and just keep hitting w/ the music, it'd be a good hour long or maybe 75 minute DVD. Took two days to record that, and THAT is all they came up with? The audience looks bored to shit in it, but someone here said they were there, and that there was LONG intermissions between songs. WTF is Prince doing anyway that he's late or making folks wait? Making phone calls? Pooping? Anyway, I drift... | |

I have this and did not even see it once. I was at a friend's house that new year's that it was on. She was not big on Prince (her loss) and would just flip the channels. That was the whole reason I went to her house in the first place. | |

Every1 is entitled to their opoinon...however the people who are stating that this isn't prince at his best are wrong on so many levels.prince always preforms like it is his last show and never let's his energy fall from 100%.Larry graham, the time, Macao Parker, and several other music artist that were present @ this concert have had an amazing influence on prince and have truly helped shape his career.so if u are a fan of prince than obviously u have an appreciation to the artist that came before him.so when those "other" artists are performing, u may not like them, but make sure to have some respect.the concert was and is still today beautiful and captivating.

It was alright all the way up till the 1999 per4mance, WTF was that?? I was waiting anxiously for that song and all it turned out 2 b was a huge anti-climax. It sounded nothing like the song.
Oh yeah, Larry Graham is really annoying on it. I didn't like the part when he took over, it dragged on and on. It was soo boring 2 watch. | |
