Crimsom and Clover by Prince is Awesome:) Crimsom and CLover has always been one of my favorites, i listened to the song alot when i was a teenager and then some, for Prince to remake the song is like a present from him. i Love Prince's version, it is Awesome and completely the best. His guitar playing is fully emotionally expressive and i Love how he makes this song come alive.. And his Loving Sexy Voice completely sends me into Heavenly Bodily Response with him. i LOVE Prince! Prince is Awesome and the Greatest Man in existence. i LOVE u Prince

The only thing i wish he would have done differently was the legendary ending that Tommy James and the Shondells put on their version. The underwater distorted vocals repeating "Crimson and Clover, over and over"... When Prince's version ended, I was like, "No, Wait! You forgot the ending!" Lol

The original is what it is, a good old-school malt shop type of tune to me. Prince's version is something that I had waited for a long time, a screaming rock guitar solo done in the studio with a feel that he wasn't holding back. KILLER TRACK.

ME TOO One thing I really hated about this project, that it was included on one version and not the other. Stupid. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

This was a really good video, and went perfectly with the song. Of course, it doesn't get pushed to VH1 or BET, which still play videos (although not all day anymore). Still Crimson and Clover and Black Sweat are my two favs of this decade.

Prince's version of this song is beautiful. Whenever I hear the song, "Towing the Line," by Tommy James and the Shondells...(I feel fine, I'm talking bout peace of mind...) I am reminded of Prince too. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...
