Just picked up Chaos and Disorder

And I gotta say, it really is a little gem. I'm really digging the title track and Into the Light is beautiful. I haven't had enough of a listen to fully comment on this album but so far, I really like it. Only thing annoying about it is the Jamacian dude in I Rock Therefore I Am. No harm to him, whoever he is.

boom

I love this cd! even the Jamaican dude... lol
I like how a lot of the songs change tempos. You can't listen to the first few seconds and decide if you like the song. That goes with most of his cd's, but especially this one for me.

disbelief blackeye Man. I can't believe you really like this one. I haven't listened to it in years and there's a good reason why. Don't get me wrong, not his worst album but definitely not his best. This deserves a blackeye.
Peace and be wild!

i thought chaos and disorder was underrated.. it was pretty much immediately dismissed as a throwoff but i thought it had some great stuff on it, zanalee, dinner with delores, dig u better dead, etc..

it didn't seem like prince was trying very hard on this one but that kinda made it more fun imo.. i'd heard some of the original mixes of the gold album material and thought the final version had squashed the life out of a lot of them due to his overtinkering

Car jack, used to mean flat tires.... music

LOve, LoVe, LovE the title track...It rocks hard.

and I especially like the way I Will and Into The Light merge into one song...classic artsy fartsy move there Prince.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

That is exactly why I love it so much, just like the outtakes and alternates to the released songs. Less polished and more restrained

Into The Light/I Will belong on a better album than this really...

Dinner With Delores & The Same December are solid though.

This was an album that grew on me. I wasn't crazy about it at first, and then I loved it. Sometimes I think it's just about getting to know the songs. cool

Would love to know what you think of each track.
