I don't play them in any order...or together even.
I generally listen to Lotusflow3r and MPLSound separately (days or weeks apart) depending on when the mood strikes me.

I really only listen to Elixir on Crappy Protege Day. music

Believe me, I can appreciate the "Prince" under all that mediocre (sometimes downright terrible Vanity/Carmen singing). wink

I think us Prince fans have a special talent for that.

If I heard "Take Me With You" etc. in any other context....disbelief

Not this one! I have Carmen's album, had Mayte's but not sure I still do . . .
Had Vanity 6's debut, never owned a Sheila E. album . . . just never went for the protege thing.
I did love his first album with Mavis 'Time Waits For No One,' but alas, someone stole it from me . . . .sad Still trying to replace it. . . .
I have singles and remixes but other than The Time, it's songs, not new artist he does better with.
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I like all the discs. LotusFlow3r is my fav but MPLSound ain't a bad album either. Nor is Bria's disc. I think people here give her a hard time with no particular reason...I mean at $11.99, you basically get her album free...why all the harsh words about her?

Because there is no talent there. A Tamar disc would've been appreciated . . . .
Why do we get this? Because THEY are sexin?

I'm not the type of person that wants another female to turn my lover on, as in, "Here I Come." I feel that that plays too much with passion's stove. cool

Women are from venus, men from mars wink

Yeah, that's probably the only answer, because a man can easily convince himself that being stimulated by many and faithful to one is healthy thinking, yet in paralell, if a woman agrees with him, she is giving him away in pieces to his fantasies. I can't see where the devotion is. cool

Interesting. Are you choices based on music quality or because they are proteges?

I hear ya Tame and I don't disagree, but I think a man has to decide for himself. A woman cannot force or dictate...what we can do is make it so we're the best thing he can think of...inspire him.

I don't think it's meant to be played in a specific order. I honestly think the combining of the albums is strictly a packaging and distribution scheme to sell the product.

These are clearly distinguishable albums between each other with no sequential order among them and nothing combining them into a cohesive theme.

Lotusflow3r proves that Prince can be supremely proficient
and write two remarkably different albums at the same time with great quality, and throw in a third filler album just for kicks.

Gotta love Prince.

Exactly.

Apart from calling Elixer "filler" - it's true that it certainly has no "highlight-status", but it's a cool, nice, smooth album and she has a lovely voice. Not stunning. And that's what I like about her. Not a powerhouse like Rosie Gaines or a show-off like Christina Aguilera (or how you spell that cow), who just tries to hit as many different notes on one beat as possible - which doesn't make a good singer (only), but who rather uses her voice as an instrument and as an addition and underlining to the music.

Someone expressing their feelings is not attempting to force or dictate, it is merely saying that sometimes a foundation of understanding is a "Hard Truth." Romance and a light hearted love has to know there is something safe beneathe them that they can build on. cool

When I first bought the set, I loved MPLSound, but now...not so much. My playing order is usually LotusFlow3r, Elixer and MPLSound.
