Are there any Prince songs that scare you? Do any of Prince's songs scare you? For me, a few have been "It," "There are Others Here With Us" and "Annie Christian."

I always thought some of his songs from the 1999-Purple Rain period were kinda scary. In lots of tracks there is this apocalyptic theme and the overall atmosphere of these songs also expresses this theme.
Best examples: The Dance Electric ("We better love each other. It's almost time to go...") Computer Blue (extended version) Something in the Water Data Bank etc... Very cool though! 555-4444 you're on coffee talk. | |

when i hear songs like 'my name is prince', i wonder how such a musical genius like him could write such a shitty tune, and THEN release it as a single. i always thought that a man that is able to write such wonderful tunes like power fantastic,etc. must have some kind of quality control. |

acctually 1999 used to creap me out all of his prophetic songs used to kreer me out. There are some Jimi Hendrix ones too. Have you ever listen to BELLY BUTTON WINDOW on THE LOVE CRY LP??? the music isnt so creepy but the words are if you listen carefully to the meaning. I think Prince Honestly is carrying Jimis torch. | |

No,his songs are Thought Provoking if anything not Scary! Why would Anybody be Scared of his songs or anybody's songs? Songs get you to Feel Emotional,but Scared? That's like he's spewing something Evil and Religion,Sex,Politics are not Scary just Thought Provoking and maybe Controversial. | |
