Prince to help Obama?

I'm ready the latest Jet magazine and it says Prince and Russell Simmons have contacted Van Jones,Obama's special advisor, for ways to join the team and help.Okay, after you stop laughing like I did, what could he do?

1) He didn't vote for Obama. Or at all.

2) He dislikes politics and believes that the two parties are basically the same and only give the "illusion of choice".

Therefore, I call bullshit on what you read in Jet magazine, lol.

As for what he could do, well he COULD do a lot. Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar/House MD) has quit acting to join Obama's administration on behalf of actors, so Prince coud certainly help to represent to the needs of musicians to the White House. But like I said, I don't believe this to be true at all.

Why are you laughing? This would be a great thing. Every little bit helps. Both are mega millionaires with huge audiences. They have cultural importance and influence.

For every reason that has been posted so far is why I laughed, well chuckled.I also knew that question would get various responses on here.I thought oh Kal Penn, but he's actually on the payroll. This is more like what Alicia Keys and other musicians have done.Like concerts with proceeds going towards something.Which I could see Prince doing....IF this story is true....

He could cut a deal with the Obama administration to include a copy of his next album in with your 2009 tax rebate.

Perhaps Prince will be giving Obama fashion Tips and those "Mummy" jeans will now be a bit tighter, buttons not zipper and of course bottomless.
This will surely help American economy!
Thank you Prince! lol

No one should expect Prince to remain constant on any one issue, or maintain any particular mindset, for any length of time.

Okay, I read the story and I still doubt it would ever happen. I do recall a story before the inauguration about Prince wanting to perform at one of the balls and that never happened either.

Someone may have spoken with him about it but that last sentence where the guy implies that Prince supports the president pretty much guarantees that he won't get involved.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

maybe he's been thinking back on what a dumb ass he was for not voting for the first black president, after years of bitching and moaning about race issues.

maybe this is the thing that will get him to leave that cult, finally pray
