Does anyone listen? to the LotusFlow3r trilogy in a different order now as compared to when you first bought the CD?
I used to listen in this order: 1. Elixer 2. MPLSound 3. LotusFlow3r I now question if the correct order is: 1. MPLSound 2. Elixir 3. LotusFlow3r Another thing I'm curious about is LotusFlow3r definately starts with a take-off and landing sound (musically) I wonder if the natural order places LotusFlow3r first rather than last? Perhaps: 1. Lotusflow3r 2. Elixir 3. MPLSound

I have to be honest in saying that when I play all three, I let the cd player arrange the songs for me.
I have listened to "Lotus Flow3r," by itself mostly. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I don't think it's meant to be played in a specific order. I honestly think the combining of the albums is strictly a packaging and distribution scheme to sell the product.
These are clearly distinguishable albums between each other with no sequential order among them and nothing combining them into a cohesive theme. Lotusflow3r proves that Prince can be supremely proficient and write two remarkably different albums at the same time with great quality, and throw in a third filler album just for kicks. Gotta love Prince. [Edited 8/23/09 20:47pm]

I don't play them in any order...or together even.
I generally listen to Lotusflow3r and MPLSound separately (days or weeks apart) depending on when the mood strikes me. I really only listen to Elixir on Crappy Protege Day.

Elixer gets played in the bedroom once in a while. Just a track or two before I want to change direction, so to speak. But it starts off sexy enough for that. I don't enjoy listening to it though.
Lotusflow3r gets my attention a bit more than MPLSound these days. It's the guitar work that stands out to me.

What about the whole concept thing....the Lotusflow3r its meanings, rarity, etc.?

I like several songs on the Elixir CD. It doesn't get played each time I listen to Lotusflow3r or MPLSound, but its good to listen to it's still Prince's arrangements, molodies, lyrics and music.

3CDS in one package? A lot of quantity, has me worrying about quality.
guess it will have to a few of the tunes then from ITunes and no cds. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

This is what Crappy Protege Day is all about. Believe me, I can appreciate the "Prince" under all that mediocre (sometimes downright terrible Vanity/Carmen singing).

I generally listen to Lotusflow3r and MPLSound separately (days or weeks apart) depending on when the mood strikes me. I really only listen to Elixir on Crappy Protege Day. That's a busy day. It's tough to squeeze everything in, what with listening to True Confessions and Children of the Sun and then watching the Falcon Crest marathon.

I like all the discs. LotusFlow3r is my fav but MPLSound ain't a bad album either. Nor is Bria's disc. I think people here give her a hard time with no particular reason...I mean at $11.99, you basically get her album free...why all the harsh words about her? 3121

I have listened to "Lotus Flow3r," by itself mostly. What makes Lotusflow3r your apparent favorite? Good quiestion. I like the emotional flow of the whole cd. I like the other cd's in pieces. I believe when taking someone on an emotional rollercoaster ride through music, subject matter can lure you deeper into the message or release you from it. With "MPLSound," My heart is skipping.
