Prince has claimed the world isn't ready for his music. some of them very sexual songs.
He was on about music that is in the infamous vault.
I believe it's music that we have never heard off because after the warner/slave
incidents his music has become private unlike before where the songs would come out somehow.
Can anybody shed some light on this. I read it in one of his interviews but I can't remember the magazine.

No the interview I read I believe was at the 3121 phase.
It was not during dimonds and pearls time or symbol time.
I'll try and find the information or the interview someday.

Prince has some amazing music in the vault. It's music from all eras. Prince has alot of great unreleased songs. Alot of them has leaked over the years but, some never surfaced. He has some real cool stuff there. Who knows, I know that during an interview in 2004 he did say that another room was in the works of being builded at Paisley Park (or something like that). From the songs that's leaked over the years, when they r officially released alot of people r gonna b shock. The 'Crystal Ball' album back in 1998 was just a small taste of what's sitting in the vault. There's alot more in there and I think alot of that material is great.

The Vault is way over-hyped. I've heard hundreds of unreleased songs, and I'd say maybe 10 of them are better than most of the stuff he's released.

It ain't like there are 500 songs better than "Purple Rain" or "Adore" collecting dust on a shelf.

It was pretty recent. It was when he was letting the cd's be reviewed and he played something for the reviewer. He said that is what happens when he isn't with someone sexually it all goes into the music and that no one could handle hearing it. Can someone find it. I do remember it very well , cuz I want to hear it and see if I can handle it:)

I know the one you mean - Prince was talking about a new song he'd done (and I remember it being spiritual rather than sexual) and he said something about once he'd dropped the harmonies on it, he just had to put it away, didn't think the world was ready etc etc

The song that he played in that interview is called THE DIVINE. with a title like that,its got to be good! Anyways I dont doubt Prince has some nasty music in the Vault. I can think of 2 unreleased songs from 95. Good Pussy and A dick & a job.

I think most of the so called vault has been leaked or bootlegs or released over the years.

same reason why he doesnt put out concert dvds and same reason he makes videos and doesnt put them out... cuz hes crazy. Most of the 80s songs were given to friends and most were stolen by employees. I think he feels some songs are too personal or too good to release.
