Man I was watching Purple Rain and couldn't help but notice that Prince was cut back in the day. I bet he worked out a lot.

This topic hasn't been covered much in here. When I was a kid I didn't really notice this, since he isn't 'big' by any standard, but on some pictures you can see he must have been working out like mad. Not only because of the muscles, but because he is so damn toned, no fat.

Weird that something that he has put so much of his time into, has never popped up in any of his lyrics. Sports in general is quite absent as a topic.

I also read it elsewhere and it is quite obvious that he used to work out during the mid 80s. You don´t look that toned and cut without a regular workout schedule. He didn´t look like that in his early years.
These days, he still looks great but I doubt that he works out a lot.
He once said that rehearsals and shows are the best and only workout for him these days.

You can see a barbell and bench in the Get Off VHS homevideo that was released in 1992 ( in his office at Paisley Park). Also keep in mind that his friend Kirk Johnson works out regularly which might have had an influence on him. You can see Kirk J. benchpressing in the Three Chains Of Gold film.
