Wow, she sold it??  I have a black, prop marocca that Prince handed out to 3 fans including myself at his Vegas show at the 3121 club in 2007, during opening weekend. That is way cool. Prince has some great handwriting. I can actually understand it. When you have to deal with Doctors handwriting everyday like I do, seeing something like this is a breath of fresh air. 
If that letter was written to me, there's no way in hell I would sell it. The person who the letter was written to must've been really broke to sell that. I wonder if the person is still a fan. I would think you'd have to not be a fan anymore to part with something so big like this. Even if that were me, I wouldn't sell it for anything. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

Those who don't think its real, let me assure you the letter is real. I myself have a faxed note from Prince from Paisley Park. He just sent a thank-you note-due to the fact his album won album of the year in a Seattle paper. That album Sign "o" The Times. Which beat out U2's Joshua tree (no2). That should have happened at the Grammys too. (Hey, Joshua tree is a good album-just not as good as Sign "o" The Times. Not sour grapes-just saying-that's all.)

The fan must have been hurting for cash because that letter will grow more valuable with time. It was deffinately something to brag about. The present owners can brag about it now but it's just not the same. Honestly I'd have passed it on to my daughter and let her sell it after I croaked. She would have reaped a tidy sum. | |

That has to be the coolest piece of memorabilia I've seen. The post mark says 1984 so it must have been written just after When Doves Cry was released hence the reference to a video and him saying that he is proud of the movie.
