Best of U Remember when prince performed at the superbowl in 07. I was amazed at the performance.My drunk uncle thought it wasnt Prince and told me it was some cuban they got off the street,now my uncle is 50 and according 2 him Prince hasnt done anything since 1984. Anyways it was great and then I heard him play Best of u,i was sittin there thinking WOW A NEW SONG! cuz i do not listen to the radio. Next day, i find out it was a foo fighters song,so i then track down their version and i was dissapointed. Im guessing Prince sang his version cuz Foo ruined Darling Nikki. I then find a 2 minute sample of prince's best of u and it had a lot of energy and i loved it. so im wondering Why on earth has it not been released? does Prince have to get Foo fighters permission? | |

Foo's ruined Darling Nikki????  They took it places Prince couldn't. It is one of the , if not THE, best ever Prince covers....
The way I see it the Foo's made DN even rockier and P made BOU funkier/ more soulful. No harm done either way.... | |

There is a really weird thread on the .org that talks about how the "Artist" era Prince was not Prince... maybe I'll try to find it (maybe I won't).

I really like the Foo Fighters/Dave Grohl, but in my opinion they did a very poor, lifeless studio rendition of Darling Nikki. They do however, tear the song up in a live setting. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |
