Prince - Neon Rendevous

mmm... have been a big fan of prince since the early eighties, and although his recent music has been quite good, i'm listening to this bootleg which is awesome, someting in the water don't quite compute, i think he's too good, i like techno, indie, dance, house, blues yet this man can do it all and do it well, how can u be that good, i think techno is the future music, sven vath, ritchie hawtin, orlando voorn etc...
but prince has a huge influence on modern music but where r the new prince and madonnas? discuss, am i'm talking rubbish wink

Yeas Neon/Noon Rendevous is beautiful hot and Purple both versions
That show in my opinion cannot be touch even in 2009

I'm a house fan too, If you get a chance to hear 1985 Purple Rain tour rendition of America, Bobby on the drums like 5-10 min toward the end does some serious house beats I don't think house beats like that were out anywhere

There will never be another Prince or Madonna, culture wouldn't permit it, everything is too accessible, there are some good artist always coming up but most stuff now is not 'original'

old friends 4 sale, i think your right, but it's a sad state of affairs some one has to break this mould, sven vath, ritchie hawtin, basement jacks, is that not what prince is talking about, his boxset was on about how things have changed, i.e no more rolling stones, etc, its like every one has given up, there should be some one to replace these artists, lady gaga? she could be the new neumonina, he, hee, i think not, but it wont happen, there is someone out there who will blow everyone's socks off but they will b playing at your local rave. phil kierans is quite good cool

The best bootleg of them all.

Something In The Water rock version is the greatest thing he has ever done imo.
