Baby I'm A Star I never knew how energetic this song was until yesterday,i was singing it at the pool the other day and some women who's like 47 looked at me and said,"sing it honey" then she made her husband go get the radio and popped Purple Rain in just to listen to that song.Everybody was dancing it was like 56 people.

It seems as though this song gets overlooked due to the fact that there were a number of hits on the Purple Rain album. This has always been my favorite song on the album. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

That's a cool story. See, Prince music brings people together! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Prince loved to give this song a good workout on the Purple Rain tour.
Everyone in the "Purple Family" would be onstage (Apollonia 6, Sheila E. & her band, Jerome from the Time) and they would rip it! Definitely a feel good track and timeless! When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I don't think they were present in all concerts, but when they were, it was mayhem. the atlanta concert definitely has the best version of Baby I'm A Star; he turned that fucker in2 a straight out 23-minute jam. he had Jerome, Sheila E. & her band, and even his bodyguards tearing the stage up (tho I don't think Apples & the girls were there). they even had the people from the first row come up on stage and shake their asses. now that was a party! Man, it's hard supporting a college education and a music collection. Better drop out of college!

Definitely a feel good track and timeless! all them people was on stage? Yeah. Check out Prince & the Revolution LIVE. Also the Grammy performance of "Baby i'm A Star" was insane (February 26th 1985).
