A CONSPIRACY AGAINST PRINCE

Don't mean to sound overly dramatic but here's my conspiracy theory:

For those of you like myself who are members of the NPG Music Club, have you ever considered the real reason why www.npgmusicclub.com has been down and not accessible to it's members or any new potential members for the past several days? I mean, think about it. He's just about to appear in a highly anticipated TV performance for the first time in (well, I don't even know.) I imagine that one of his biggest publicity objectives was to push the website and all the amazing and well worth priveleges that members get for only $100 a year.

Those who manage his website and overall IT are very well aware of the capabilities and amounts of hits that can potentially flood the website at any given moment in which a Prince event has happened. Those in charge of IT whether it's NPG Chief Information Officer (if they have one which I'm sure they do) or any person who gets paid the bucks to oversee technology KNOW the potential risks involved and have immediate back-up plans implemented to reduce the load and have the website run as smoothy as possible. If they are competent enough in what they do, and I'm sure they are, they run all sorts of tests to make sure that the website responds favorably to high demands and doesn't crash leaving hundrends of paying members out in the dust.

Have you ever considered the possibility that a person or a group of people (i.e. hacker geniuses) were hired to make sure that the website becomes mysteriouly unavailable during a time when people needed access the most? Again, maybe I'm being paranoid or overprotective of my favorite artist but It seems to me that the timing of all of this is way too suspicious and very costly and embarrassing if you consider the amount of new potential NPG Music Club members who may have just finished seeing his recent concerts or seeing his performance on the Tonight Show and decided that it was time to dance in the joy of their own emancipation and become a member too.

Could it be sabotage? Could the recording industry (i.e. Warner) have had anything to do with this?

What's your opinion? I'd love to know.

Ropy

p.s. If anyone would be kind enough to send me a taped performance of the Tonight Show with P - my vcr was on the blink. I'll gladly send you a blank tape with a postage paid self addressed envelope...thanks!

Warner have had anything to do with this???

This is the funniest most loopiest thing i've ever heard in here. Most of the execs at AOL-TW don't even know that Prince is still around.

The only thing against Prince... is Prince.

Federal Postal Investigators are looking at screen captures of the tourbook & website right now. The time for the club to make it right has passed and some degrees of Federal Mail Fraud carry a heavy fine. Its sad that the website went down at the very time the legal team made a big-ass mistake denying there was any misleading content on it when indeed there was all over the place.

For man that is so brave to go after sueing fansites..

Now he's getting a dose of his own medicine and hiding like a coward behind a forthcoming "upgrading the site" when it needed to be up and doing the work it was paid to do.

Well I did see Wacko Jacko smirking after nearly dropping his baby off the balcony. Overheard him mutter something about "getting revenge on those who can play instruments and get all the girls."
Then he cackled like Dick Dastardly and ran off with a computer keyboard. hmmm

No, lol...just that there are those who are adding as much as they can to the demise of the club, some of who are not members...that's what I am hinting at.

Nothing in npgmc's current status leads me to believe there's anything other than Prince's usual bad business
sense going on.

If you've been a fan for more than a few years, you'll
probably be used to these kind of things. Same reason
why he releases a single, and doesn't start promoting
it or shooting a vid for it until it's fallen from the
chart after a debut at #47.

So I wouldn't worry about it too much. The site will be
back online before long.

What a note.. Hey man.. your just a little bit paranoid dont you think. Prince himself is that kind of guy who dont care if he get more hits on his site ofter appearing on a tv-show or not. This site is already huge and all the comercial for his site is done during his concerts.

Usually the stage is light up with a hugh sign that says. www.npgmusicclub.com. He only wants people to visit his website that attends his conserts and he has succeded in that matter. Why do you think he has his private memberclub???

The site may be down for several reason but..for hackers??? I dont think so. Come on people stop acting like Prince is something from another planets. He has normal thoughts just like you and me! But he is a bit more music-talented than the most of us.

Didn't you hear about all those times their servers crashed?

Warner?? you really are into conspiracy... but nah not warner, nor any fan... it's just the usual bad business by yet another bad prince company.

Amen.

It amazes me how so many ppl kiss the booty! of some1 so gifted when he releases his music or appears in concert and when something goes tits up, conspiracy theories arise (although the "Crystal Ball" period was a TOTAL travesty)

Stop acting like he's a super-human being, he's trying 2 make a living just like every1 else, he just happens 2 B really talented is all.

Furthermore, :I: ain't a member of NPGMC, but for $100 USD a year? :I: think y'all got a pretty sweet deal so stop bitching about why his site is down because U darn well know that he will surface and serve his fans in one form or another.

If U R a so-called Prince 'FAM', U will respect happenings like the website going down (:I: am excluding the ONA Live disaster 4 obvious reasons).

Respect the music, rebel the malicious comments. He has done too much 2 B dissed at and if U R getting p*ssed at him, mayB U should B looking at reality-TV shows like PopIdol.

Finally, stop making ASSUMPTIONS because U will B an ASS and your UMP will TION (or shun) U.

This has been Dre's twocents

hihi this is so funny.some off u are really jumping on the wrong conclusions by every strange move with prince.
and eye'm not talking about u ropyvega. eye'm not saying that the side is down because a conspiracy.
but eye do know that prince has been sabotaged alot the last years.h'es not a good bissniss man.but all this bad luck the last years are not all prince mistakes .he's trying so hard 2 get back on the top .but there is always something comming up between.think about it.

but this has nothing 2 do with conspiracy.this is a typicly prince move.the club is now controversy and we are all wandering about it.makes it mystical again.
and when its back on we are all gonna be so happy .and because that happiness we all gonna join as fast as we can .because were not going 2 miss anything..
now thats a great move .eye'm gonna join anywaybecause 1-eye will suport the only man that gives me the best music on the planet.
2-this year was the best year no mather what negative complains of whinning fools.
3-eye bet 2003 is gonna be even bether.
4-finaly eye have so much respect 4 this little guy.because nothing is stopping him doing his things his way..
and every goofy move he makes makes him more intresting .
eye'm not a prince asskisser.but some off u 2 negative about him.he doesn't deserve this.

prince will b taking down finaly by his own spoiled fams .
now thats very sad .
woekie woekie!!!
