Props n' Pounds (or not)

After checking out a couple of other threads wherein folks were speaking on Michael Jackson's and Rick James' supposed confusion/jealousy/obsession with Prince, it got me thinking on two things.

1. Prince musta felt like THA SHIT if he had two of the biggest Black music stars of the eighties (besides Lionel) jocking his style. That is, if the stories are true.

2. I'm curious to know what other Black stars had to say about him during his heyday. Or vice versa. Did the Gap Band wanna beat his ass? Did Roger Troutman have wardrobe tips for him? Did Gerald Levert regard him as a force to reckoned with? Those are just examples, but hopefully you get what I'm asking.

I know a few of y'all got the goods. Bla... oops I meant blackguitaristz, squirrelgrease, I'm looking at you.

I want the juiciness.
Peace, G
