I Love that his albums R very electic (as a whole).. They R always different.. I dig that aspect of his Musc.. It never gets boring.. Im really looking 4ward 2 hearing the New (rumored) Jazz Album).. He is THE BEST.. A TRUE INSPIRATION.

I'll go for the ballads, the R&B side straight up!! I think they emphasized the "sexual" side of prince music best ... I love all of his music (well, ALMOST all), but if I had to choose one side, I'll go for the ballads side... I mean.. "Do Me, Baby", "Purple Rain", "Adore", "When 2 R In Love", "Insatiable", "Diamonds & Pearls", "Somebody's Somebody", and soooo many others... These are the songs I cant live without neutral

the r&b ballads, definitely. P may know how to knock the socks off of u with his raw sex rock, but it's his smooth 'killin' them softly' ballads that truly get 2 u.

As an African-American male I kind of went with the ballads earlier on, but after gaining interest in guitar playing I ventured over to the rock side as well & when I did it opened my eyes as to this thing called music. I can pretty much go anywhere music-wise now! Thanks Prince biggrin

They're both two parts of one amazing whole. I can't prefer one to the other even if I am a bigger fan of rock music in general. He has had his fair share of bad songs in both fields as well as brilliant ones.

For me, Purple Rain is totally rock. I will admit that I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to music, but I would bet that this is technically a rock song. When I think of a blues Prince song, I think of "The Ride". Are there any musicians who could help on this one?
