WORLD TOUR ? Can somebody give its point of view onto the fact that Prince makes no more true world tour for a long time now.
He's a legend... a lot of people even if they're not "fans" would go to a Prince concert if they could... unfortunately they can't ? An example, from now on 15 years, the rare times when he comes in concert in France... he only gives a unique show in a Parisian room of 7000 places... it's so frustrating... even for the fans who are much more than 7000 in this country !!!! Enough of those theatres & little venues ! Question: Why a legend such as him... does not allow a most large number of people to see him on stage... Why (ecxept for the 02 residency) doesn't he perform in bigger halls or stadium all around the world ???? Anybody has an explanation ? I'll die in your arms under the cherry moon...

maybe Prince is a tired old man, too tired to do a world tour....?
I mean he is 51 after all... Prince 4Ever.

Get over it, by doing small venues like this he doesn't have to deal with the riff-raff. Only the ones that have money enough to pay the Price. People that bitch about $77.00 can't really afford Prince. [Edited 7/18/09 3:40am]

sorry-but it costs pennies to get a ferry from france to London-the o2 in 2007 was as good as any 'tour'- and ive been to all his in the UK since 88
though i must admit-Lovesexy in Paris was rather splendid and-his ona show your way was brilliant-the smaller the venue-the better listen to le Bataclan aftershow-and moan about that one..... residencys are cool-and small is best (lol-read into that what you will )

Was it 60 minutes that BonJovi was on last week? Anyway the guy pretty much admits to not being the best at anything but he knows his fans. He also clearly delighted in playing large stadiums. I don't think P gets off on playing to large crowds. Also he's a bit phobic and larger crowds pose a larger threat. Then there is the hip thing. If he needs to miss a show will that come up in the press? He was just a wild man on stage in his 20's and early 30's I don't think he'll be doing any splits now while wearing 4 inch heels.

Yeah like i said madonna can just about sing, yes she can dance, no she can't play a guitar ...so like the boss they don't have to give so much. Prince does all three ...really well that's why he's can't do a world tour, it's all about the quality.... sorry again to all THE BOSS and MADONNA fans... I do feel like he's more comfortable playing small venues.

True? nope, he did 21 Nights in London, so that's not it, he will play shows around the world but it won't be a "tour" he like quality , not into the touring lifestyle ... look what's happend to madonna's tour it's sad really. Prince likes to gig, go to a city play a few nights then take a break he's 51 when he hits a town near you, you know your gonna get quality show, full on, not just alot of sweat and no show! There are alot of things that I don't know about P. Like how comfortable is he with traveling and being away from his home(s) for long periods of time? Madonna was quite successful, breaking all records and she too is a perfectionist but still there are alot of things that need to go smoothly. He likes to have alot of people on stage with him. It's a big headache for some. I have no idea what Madonna did with all her money but Prince is not associated with any charity that I know of. I think he can maintain his style of living at this point without doing tours.

He played Coachella last year (50, 60, 70.000?) and he did it well. I think he could do it if he wanted. And he should come back 2 Argentina, 20 years after

Prince gives to charity found that out on the org and on the web, no sure he gives as much as MJ did, but he's not as rich as MJ and looks after his money better. Prince has lived in LA for years so being away from home is not it, he just does not like the touring lifestyle, he likes to gig, he's old school. And like i said he has to give more in his shows than any other artist even MJ as MJ did not have to play a guitar etc.. on stage same as madonna, the boss does not have to dance or play anything other than his guitar.... This is the real factor to the reason he does not tour, Prince put's in alot of work, I was amazed when i saw him move so well on stage at the o2 for a man nearly 50 years old for over 2 hours. Playing music is, Singing with range and Prince has range, and dancing all around the stage, a few clothes changes takes effort....and the quality is always on point.... Apart from MJ ....Prince is the second best entertainer in the world ..no one can touch him on the stage. Da, Da, Da....Emancipation....Free..don't think I ain't..! London 21 Nights...Clap your hands...you know the rest..

You clearly have know idea what you're talking about. Bruce's two and half to three hour shows are far more intense than Prince performances these days, and he works his ass off for every minute of those shows. Prince may have danced up a storm in the old days, but that's not true any longer. And he sure as hell doesn't play as hard, or as long as Bruce does. Not to get into a who's better thing, but Bruce is a force of nature onstage. Prince is not.
