Where should I go next with my Prince collection?

I´m a huge Prince fan.

I have his albums: Prince, Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999, Purple Rain, Sign O The Times, Parade, Around The World In A Day, The Black album, Batman, The Golden Experience, Diamonds and Pearls 3121, and the latest one Lotusflow3r.

I have no clue which ones I should get next.

List them best to worst.

Well, you got a good collection right now. To make your collection more complete you could try b-sides. That would give you the most Prince for your money. Then in this order:

Crystal Ball: gives you an impression of his outtake material.
Rainbow Children: The album that stretches prince' boundaries more than any other album.

As for the rest, I think you already got quintessential Prince, so it doesn't really matter. Have you already checked out the side-projects? Jill Jones, Exodus, Madhouse?

Start from the beginning...For You is dynamite stuff for a teenager to do it all himself.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Start at the beginning, and just fill in the blanks. For You, Lovesexy, prince, Come. Find the NPG albums too (GoldNigga, Exodus, NewPowerSoul).

1. Everything on Warners
2. The rest

Don't skip on produced albums and proteges either, I always say it, but they are just as integral to the P. canon as the albums under his own name(s). Sheila, The Time, V6/A6, Jill Jones, Madhouse, The Family, NPG, all the rest.

Then get the stuff with no or minimal Prince input - Wendy & Lisa, Morris Day, Jam & Lewis, Jesse Johnson, etc, etc.

Scared yet? lol

If you really like everything you have now, then get everything up until Crystal Ball and no need to go any further.
