why Prince stopped producing associated artists

IN the early to mid 80's Prince made a lot of associated artists .
there was a music scene he created .
But after Lovesexy those kind of ventures become rarity.
Why he abandon Minneapolis sound scene?

which protage albums he did in the 90s?
And i dont consider Larry and Chaka to be that

First off...Mavis Staples is hardly a Prince protege. His proteges in the 80s, except for the Time and Sheila E, had only one album (Vanity 6, Apollonia 6, The Family, Mazarati, Jill Jones, Taja Sevelle, Tony Lemans). Same for the 90s (TC Ellis, Ingrid Chavez, Carmen Electra).

Mavis Staples is not a protege nor was she 'made' by Prince
She doesn't come out of UPTOWN, she had her own career

Mayte wasn't even a fan of Prince

Carmen Electra? can't even touch Apollonia 6
the NPG doesn't have the foundation

Her album was great!

Oh, wait... lol
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

The difference with the 80's proteges
was that they were steeped in Prince's camp
the ladies of Vanity 6 became Apollonia 6 except of course the frontman
the ladies of Vanity 6 were on tour with Prince did shows and appearances w/Prince or the Time and just here and there are heard on the Time or Prince albums too
the Family come from the Time as well as are on Prince albums/songs and have performed live with the Prince camp and some have been in his 1st 2 movies
Jill Jones was in the Prince camp since Dirty Mind and sang back up on all of the Proteges of the 80's albums as well as performed live with Prince and recorded on his songs
Taj Sevelle has been in the camp (as far as I know) since the 83/84 years and song on possibly more songs than given credit: she was definately on ATWIAD

So these people as a whole were not 1 hit wonder in the since that they appeared and disappeared

After Lovesexy the whole 'vision' was dispersed

Shup you. I know it wasn't ever released razz
What I (and ludwig I am sure) are getting at is that Prince. Has. Not. Stopped. Producing. For. Associated. Artists.

But yes, it's not quite the same as The Time, Sheila E having more than one album pretty much written produced etc by him.
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

To much change
the foundation of what made what your talking about was kicked down
Prince had the dream team in the 80's
Susan Rogers Alan Leeds
control messed up the Time and Vanity 6 project as well as the Revolution
and lack of incorporation messed up the Family & Mazarati project
change messed with Sheila E's continuance
