We are all diehard Prince fans, that alone makes us crazy by default, but most of us still have a sense of humor and have a threshold of crazy we tolerate before calling him out on his shenanigans,.....The good folks on the MJ threads here on "Music non Prince" are so devout and religious about all things MJ, that heaven forbid you joke about him. I think Prince wishes he had MJ style fans releasing doves at his court dates.

In addtion, did people who paid for the first music club get a chance to see the video for 18 and over? I am sure if YOUTUBE coughed up money tommorow you would you see Prince stuff on the site. I think the RAVE cover was the worst because he looks so sinister looking. trust me, i understand why prince is doing this..but he's also limiting the proclimation of his legacy by severing ties where all new information and media is traded. until prince embraces the blogsphere/free-media revolution he wont see the praise his art truly deserves and i stand by that statment as a DEVOTED fan ^^^ by the way...can we petition to get this quoted on the front page? mods?

my top 3 moments
1) having a website that u charge people 4 yet other sites get the scoop on what ur currently doing 2) having guest artists that originally did the song but yet he changes the arrangement 4 the songs leaving the original artist going (prime example of this, erykah badu singing didn't u know and about 2 go in2 the 2nd verse but prince goes elsewhere with the song) 3) making it known that u don't own the masters 2 ur songs but yet still doing those same songs in concert. the ones that u do own the masters 2, hardly gets any love in concert man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Graffiti Bridge:
What a fool he was, thinking he could pull-off a Purple Rain 2 without a professional director, without a decent script, without images taken outside (the studio-set reminds me of some school-musical) and without songs as strong as those on Purple Rain? The WB-battle / name-change / slave-thing: It made him look like some MJ-freak. His (commercially) career never really recovered from it since. Spoiling his Musicology-comeback: Of course, it was calculated, and the album was rather mediocre, but in 2004 it seemed like has was regaining some respect and succes. But he spoiled it rather quickly with bad promotion / non promotion of the following albums, and also with his strict stance towards sites likes Youtube. That caused a lot of bad blood among young people who were getting interested in his legacy, and who were probably thinking: why should i be interested in such a jerk who censors all his material on the net?

For me, it started with this mess right here:
I was so excited to get this 12" record back in the day! I couldn't wait to hear a 10 minute version of a song that's only about 2 minutes on the album. When I played it I was like, "What the hell is this shit?". It sounded nothing like the album version at all and it just dragged on for 10 minutes. I didn't know at the time that it was basically a live version of the song. This was the first time I was disappointed in a Prince record. At least the long version of "Another Lonely Christmas" made up for it.

Whenever he does interviews and dodges the questions, or answers them with abstract concepts about chemical trails, Jehovah, and time being a trick; and his constant crusade against record labels. Although record labels/WB/not owning one's masters may be a valid issue, he ends up sounding bitter.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Either Tony M., Kirky J., or Damon D. were grabbing Prince's hips and helping him pump them up and down in a dance move. Another example of when Prince was too Prince for his own good. AMEN BROTHA! I am thinking that was 1993? Or did they do the same shit?
