Probably the worst 'track' ever released with any Prince connection.
There was a great post a while back when someone came up with a great reason why Crystal Ball wasn't all that, with strange track choices, versions, etc. It was all over the place... just like the bootlegs it was competing with. The poster believed Prince was trying to emulate the typical mixed bag of a bootleg, and I think he was probably right. With this in mind, Cloreen Bacon Skin is the bootleg track which is not really an attempt at anything at all just a bit of mucking around. But it's ended up being recorded, it's rare, and so it's out there, quality be damned. | |
