I'm usually pretty negative on these things but I'd say there's a good chance of it coming out. The first show was quite different to usual, like it was meant to be a one-off. And as he's such a moneygrabbing whore (bitter Lotu$fail member, moi?  ), the fact that there were no covers of other people's songs is a positive sign too - no royalties to pay anyone if a DVD is released.that's nice that you're keeping hope alive, but seriously, it isn't going to happen, no more than Musicology or any other tours that were filmed. | |

Why wouldn't he release all the live footage he can (from all time periods)? I don't get it.

Just because he played some of the same songs at the second show doesn't mean anything. On 7/7/07 there were songs that were repeated and that was filmed as well and there isn't a DVD for that. Great if it comes out, but looking at the past I'm not holding my breath. TRUE BLUE |

Prince has been recording his shows since he started out and will until he retires. If he decides to make a DVD then he will, if not then you'll all have to live with the bootleg you know you're going to run and buy the minute you find it. When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all  up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |

moderatorI played Montreux 3 days before Prince, July 15th. The Montreux folks give the artist a DVD after the show. They also send the files to the artist, so if they elect to edit and replace things, they can. Montreux also includes in the agreement that they can use excerpts from the performances in "Master" Montreux compilations. However with Prince, there were extensive negotiations regarding the filming and reproduction/exclusivity rights. I have no idea how Prince's deal w/Montreux reads. | |
