Who cares? why let it get to you to the point of posting this? Someone's sexual orientation should be of no concern to anyone.

I wouldn't care if he shagged sheep or hollowed out melons as long as he keeps making music that makes me happy. lol

What's the deal with people like this? What's your problem with us discussing his orientation, race, etc? Nobody said that they would hate Prince if he was gay or wouldn't like his music...we are simply discussing it.

Prince has given us ample ammunition from which to initiate such a discussion...particularly concerning race discussions as of late.

My guess is that Prince HAS experimented with men. As evidenced by a poster above, I think it has come out in some of his lyrics too. I don't think it makes you gay if you've experimented necessarily...and I would guess that Prince highly prefers women. Furthermore, with his newfound religious beliefs, he probably NOW thinks homosexuality is wrong and immoral.

1. How does someone bend like a girl all gayish--explain that. Did Prince fuckin curtsey or something?

2. He writes a lot of ambiguous lyrics and says boy or girl because he is talking in general terms most of the time to include any gender to get his gist

3 do you think he would actually write lyrics alluding to him being bisexual if he really was? Most men who are secure in their heterosexuality play around with that ambiguity etc. because they domt have an issue with it because they are secure in it. Most men who arent wouldn't dare to play around like that with words and image etc.

Are you responding to me? I didn't say anything about how he bends over...although I do think there any certain stereotypical ways that gay people act...and Prince sometimes acts like it. Must I elaborate...cuz I care not to.

lol I don't think most heterosexual men play around with ambiguity surrounding their orientation to the degree that Prince does. I don't know any straight people personally who do that. I am straight and am very comfortable with my sexuality. I have gay friends, will go to gay clubs...which most of my friends won't...but I'm not going to wear high heels, make-up, and all the other things Prince does. That just ain't me...I don't have a problem with it...just not my cup of tea...and I don't think it would be the preference for most straight men.

It's funny that this comes up because I was in a store this morning and as I was getting my food checked by the cashier, I told her that I saw Prince on Sunday and how great it was. The first thing she said was, Well, I think he's gay but he's a great musician. I couldn't help but think that the woman was ignorant but it's her lost not mine. I don't give a rat's ass whether he's gay or not. He's a great musician first and foremost and that's the most important thing. And if by some wild stretch of the imagination it came out that Prince was gay, then he'd be the funkiest gay man I ever saw.

Peace & Love
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

In that particular scenario, one must conclude that this person has a problem with gay people...so yeah fuck that bitch.

Im responding to whomever..especially the guy who said that he saw Prince bend down like a girl to help Santana fix a geetar

lol I don't think most heterosexual men play around with ambiguity surrounding their orientation to the degree that Prince does.

Course not to his extent..most of them aren't famous musicians

I don't know any straight people personally who do that. I am straight and am very comfortable with my sexuality. I'm not saying dressing up in drag for everyday dress..Im saying that if you were in the business and wrote certain lyrics and dressed a certain way it would not bother someone who was secure in their sexuality one way or the other. And if you did happen to dress a few times with some effeminate clothes etc it wouldn't mean a damn thing. Jimi Hendrix etc wore boas etc..it's part of rock n roll. I'll rock a boa with no problem lol. Prince wearing the shit he does is rock n roll..plus it also has "pimp" connotations that is straight up mack daddy straight hetereosexual connotations to it but I wont get into that...folks are already having a hard enough time with this "acting gayish' thing already.

Listen,Prince is Not Gay and Orgmind just for the record since I've known you and you were saying Prince is Gay or Bi. Well,I really don't think so! I don't Care though and I just think it was him as a Musician being Freaky and All for the Image and to get more of a Fanbase. I'm Sick of People wondering about His sexuality and Shelia's also. If they want to keep their Sexcapades Private Let Them! It's none of Our Bizness really,I just Don't think the rumors are True!

I have no problem with gay people at all. and I would have no problem with Prince if he was gay. but how do you prove to non-fans that he isn't? naturally I'm not 100% sure, but I am 99.9 and I would like to know if there are any good arguments besides, "hey listen to his music, he doesn't act gay! or He's a JEhova!" once again, there is nothing wrong with gays, but I do have a problem with people who don't know a lot about prince!

A lot of people I know say that too.

What haven't you done to prove he is Straight?

He's a grown-man whose married now, and has found more faith in his anti-gay religion. He may be a bit effeminite, but their is a difference bwtween being a bit effeminite and being gay.

What matters not is the conductor of the piece but the piece.

If people have a hard time figuring out whether or not to listen to him because he may be gay or not, it shouldn't really bother anybody. It reflects on the person who feels he's gay more than anything else. Like that shit has ANYTHING to do with the quality of music. A musician is MUCH better off without ignorant ass people like that as fans.

And trust me, they're listening to gay performers in the music industry all the time anyway. The entertainment industry has a pretty damn good percentage of gay performers. They may as well just trim down their music and movie collections NOW if they're so adamant against it. I bet these same ignoramuses don't think they deal with gay people all the time without knowing. clueless

Tha's pretty much it right there.

You gotta put Prince in the context of glamrock. AND at the same time put him the context of African-American cultural notions of the playa/pimp/mack. Snoop's permed hair and faint voice/drawl style of rappin, Ron Isley's Mr. Bigs, Ice-T's long permed/straightened hair, hell take it back to damn Ron Oneal's Superfly, the heeled shoes, velvet and lace... all that shit is straight PIMP style especially among mid-western and west coast black culture.

But you gotta see Prince as black first and that's a whole nother story.
