The whole situation sucked quite a bit. The first show was good, especially the main part. Prince failed to communicate he was recording a DVD, with us as his too much paying audience, so during the 2nd show fans were pissed with the songs played twice. Prince was unhappy with these songs from show #1. (perfection...) He changed the setlist of the 2nd show on the spot but failed to make up to the fans in the first row. Prince needs a manager: Prince needs to widen his perspective. Prince needs to communicate. Prince needs to be less selfish. (why record a DVD and be #1 at the bank? You ever think about not going to the show. I'm making a guess that you don't live in Switzerland. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

It keeps me from spending money on things I love then bitching about it to everyone on the web about how overpriced the show, the flight, the hotel, the food, the Midol was. Weird that I've been listening to The Chocolate Invasion and The Slaughterhouse non-stop lately and wondered if Prince had forgotten about the fantastic When I Lay My Hands on U. I can't wait to hear and/see this performance.
Please Prince, don't shelve this DVD (Psst... release it on Blu-ray, though). If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Please Prince, don't shelve this DVD (Psst... release it on Blu-ray, though). responded to a similar comment another orger wrote on another thread. I also love the fact that he chose this song to OPEN the show with. Off the hook! Also thinking the other daythat it would be cool if P did Love Like Jazz (I, unlike many it seems, like this track. Gotta hear this when I get the chance.

Ok, so I saw both shows, just few feet from stage, fantastic songs & his voice was truly faultless..i’m telling u guys he looked SO happy & healthy, & OMG really sexy..
very light makeup apart from lashings of lip gloss, cheeky dimple & beautiful engorged neck veins..i just love that the atmostphere was crazy amazing, hope a dvd will be released, such breathtaking stuff so anyway, a few bits I notice people haven’t mentioned yet, but first & 4most, EDITED ( wrong info edit, so sorry guys, i'm mortified! i thought he made a reference 2 michael jackson but there wasn't..please see post #228 i shall add that it doesn't make the slightest difference 2 the performance it was literally dazzling 4 me at least..) he did a really funky combination of ‘all the critics love u in montreux/housequake/sexuality'..yes!.. s.e.x.u.a.l.i.t.y ..unless I was dreaming it. the crowd went mental! his suit was lined in yellow with black polka dot, up his sleeves at least He had us singing along to little red corvette, u gotta slow down ‘slow down’.. trust me, he is showing absolutely NO signs of slowing down! he was dancing, & jumping about in his cute wedge shoes. no limping action, i was making careful observations at one point, sorry I can’t remember the song, he invited us to join him in ‘a palace looking over a beautiful lake’. Of course he was staying at the palace hotel just a few metres across the road from the venue. Incidently montreux is a peculiar little place. Not so much a town but like a twee village on the edge of a lake..not very rock & roll! there were a couple of hand-licking episodes during 'empty room'..slow & deliberate licks across the back of his hand..full tongue! OMG! this was a loin stirring moment 4 me at least! Other women in the audience would have been moved by this also.. during scandalous he sang ‘dirty little cage’ in the perviest way I couldn’t imagine in my wildest dreams he sang bria’s songs better than her but no big surprise there, but he didn’t look in the least bit guilty that he wasn’t giving her any credit morris hayes was looking cool & totally pimped out in a white suit complete with giant hat, he looked magnificent John blackwell’s solos were jaw dropping., wow, he was like disneys firework grand finale but million times more impressive, Rhonda was as funky as hell & renato guy had short bursts of jazzy tinkling prince changed his clothes 2wards the end in2 a turtleneck number..same as he’s worn recently but with a different design. By this time my contact lenses were playing havoc..they had worked so hard & were giving up on me I couldn’t see the design, but all I could make out was what looked like a giant afro...i actually thought it was MJ, my husband thought it was MJ as child performer, but then it looked like it could have been prince from purple rain movie, in the final shot where he looks over his shoulder..i guess this make more sense, a celebration of 25yrs since purple rain. I’d love to know what it was, i’m hoping there’s some decent pics Finally, after the show people were waiting 4 him to come outside, there was a posh maybach waiting but after about 15mins I decided my feet could take no more even 4 prince. I’d endured 12hrs in huge heels & enough was enough. I walked back 2 my car high on happiness but in agony & hit the road at nearly 03.00hrs. The lake edge road was eerily quiet..all but for a police escort heading my way, & then I saw the maybach, & without any decorum flashed it several times while blowing kisses out the window. WTF! It was strangely exciting in such a romantic place! Dunno where he was heading but he’d gone past the hotel... [Edited 7/21/09 1:47am]

It's there choice to fly around the world to attend these shows. There's no guarantee he will play what you want, the way you want and we should akll be used to that by now. Being dissatisfied with the music is one thing but complaining about the cost of going is on the individual, not Prince. He can charge whatever he wants for a show but he ain't putting a gun to your head to make you by a ticket. People are upset by all the money they spend on shows and getting there then stay home and keep the money in your pocket. I flew to San Francisco a while back for a show and I did it because I could afford it. I enjoyed myself and don't regret it. It seems everyone on here is blowing their money on Prince then regretting it the minute they do then posting on here whining about how they were scammed, hoodwinked and led astray by Prince. Get over it already. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!
