I personally like the fact that Prince is so prolific.
It seems waiting 2 years did not exactly produce a great album in the case of his album, Musicology , nor did it necessarily increase record sales in the case of Planet Earth. Again, I see very little correlation between how prolific he is and how substantial a product he releases. So if he were to drop an album before the end of summer  , I wouldn't be any more or less apprehensive about the actual quality of the record.
Prince can spend a few weeks and release something great as LoveSexy, or 2 years and give us something lacklustre as Musicology. There's simply no correlation between quality and time. . [Edited 7/18/09 0:02am] | |

Wow, I don't get bored when it comes to Prince's music. I can focus on one song for a long time because every time I listen to it I find something that I didn't notice before. Plus, I have so many bootlegs. Prince believes he is a musical prophet that has been chosen by Jehova to guide his fans to the "truth". | |

Well it's nice to see that my desire for new activity from Prince has caused a decent debate and outrage!  Well yes I have every video/dvd put out offficially as wellas every album/12"/remix and a healthy selection of boots which I started purchasing from good old camden lock back in the mid 80s on dodgy old C90 tapes.
I also remember when it wasn't unusual to expect a new album at least every year ('84/'85'/86/87/88/89/90) and a tour with almost every new release (my first time seeing him was at the lyceum in 81) So while its right that lotus flower is a decent album and is only a few months old it does feel that he has kinda lost interest in this project. So to recap I'm not mad or on drugs or whatever I guess I am an old school fan who really enjoys the new directions he takes from time to time and sorry but 2011 is ridiculous for Prince fans to wait! |

If u drive try & get a Bose stereo system in your ride or Pioneer, Alpine with GREAT speakers & it will cure your boredom trust me. A nice home entertainment system helps as well | |
