To me a fame whore is simply someone who seeks attention through another person's celeb status. So with that said, I think this is an example of her fame whoring because she is leaving her facebook friends with no other conclusion than Prince being the one who sent the letter. I disagree with you slightly about W&L don't need to ride the purple train as you put it. They may not NEED to as they are able to make a living on their own but they may WANT to. They are most famous and known for their association with Prince and even in light of their many albums, they are still known for their association with Prince. Only people who have followed them steadily since the demise of the Revolution or who watch the opening credits for Heroes probably know who they are. I agree that Prince would be a dick to threaten suit over a single photo of himself posted on their website but then again if they know he is such a dick and would do something like that then why provoke him in the first place unless you wanted the reaction? I agree with you Desiree. If she didn't want the attention, (if in fact it is true the letter is from his lawyers), she would not have made it public, like it's anyone's business but who the letter was from or addressed to. I like W&L, and all they contributed during the Revolution era, but it's time to move on, and make the best of what was and keep in their memory, and move on with their own careers. Anyway, didn't they once say that Prince called them up and asked if they couldn't "err on the side of privacy" sometime after an interview? Of course they're speakin truth from their perspective, but, u play wit fire, u'll likely gonna get burned... not sayin they got burned but I mean, they kno how he is, yet they keep makin smart, sugar-coated remarks... so I would think they keep doin it to spark some controversy. It's obvious from their interview on the ORG, that they have respect for him, but would be happy if he just communicated with them a little more, because he was part of their past, no harm in that, but they should know he likes his privacy kept out of the limelight, as he has every right to protect that obviously. (Why do I suddenly see that scene in Purple Rain when Wendy approaches "The Kid" backstage and tells him off?  ) .Although it would be great to see past band members from that era get together, then that would mean playing songs that he doesn't sing anymore. This is how I feel about it if P is the one who sent her a letter! If he isn't okay it's still all good. :) I wonder what P would think if his fans that signed up for a website under false ideas of what was going to be there got together and sued him....I mean just saying since he likes the law so much. I wonder....hmmm? See but we would never do that. Why, cuz we know a thing called love and respect and we let the disrespect fall off our backs like water. Like I've said be4 I think this whole P thing is getting old for me and many others life is short. People shouldn't waste time on stuff like this. What you couldn't call her? You have to treat her like a stranger? You know when he is dead and gone I wonder what his legacy will be and what people will say about him you see how much love was poured out for MJ because he spent his life loving& giving to others not using and abusing( no1 but himself).....it's not always about the music but how you treat people that matters. What would Jesus do Prince? You can do better man. Stop actting like this and just relax stop letting your childhood dictate your adult life....it's time to get over the hurt and move on. Your post makes no sense because your not telling us what P would be suing/sending desist letters for. In addtion, I would not be surprised if this does not go back to the "Fancy Lesbian" comments. It would make sense to complain the BBB or sue to get your money back then come to Prince.org and complain about LotusFlower.
