I mean I really miss those days. I guess he had to mellow out and become a more distinguished gentlemen now he is in his 50s. But I don't know, I just miss the days where you knew that anything could happen. Now we all know what won't happen. What you think?

Well believe me I would like to see him being nasty. I haven't been able to see it since I am only 17.
However, I'm thankful that he is alive and creating. And I hope I will see him live some day. Sometimes I wish I had witnessed those times but I guess every period can be beautiful in some way

I wish ?rince didn't have such strong religious beliefs and mindset on his music business affairs. I think that they distract and cause for disconnection with his listening audience.

I hate it when older folks get in denial...and they find religion to absolve themselves of a weathered past. Maybe all the politics killed his marriages. I'm glad Prince realises that he couldn't stay young and nasty forever it's so time to give this up. Unlike many people here. After a certain age, you're just a dirty old man. Deal with it, if you had satisfaction in your own sex life, you wouldn't need to hear it from him.

It's better the way it is. If he was still simulating sex etc, he'd just seem a parody of his former self. Growing old, (relatively) gracefully, is no bad thing.

Maybe we had not saved ourselves 4 marriage in the past, and after a couple of marriages that weren't forever lasting, we have the opportunity to do things the wholesome way and save consumation for a wedding day.

It is never too late to live respectfully 4 GOD.

I don't necessarily miss him being "nasty". I mean no one can be nasty forever unless of course your name is Hugh Hefner. That ol' geezer is just NASTY and not in the good way!

What I miss is when Prince was still fun! He's no fun anymore. Now everything seems to be about making his fans pay for something. Surely some LPAB member is about to say, "He's supposed to get paid for his work." The only problem with that logic is, I'm not talking about money.

I really miss those days too. I think being sexually open-minded frees you up, so no wonder he made a lot of great music back in those days.

I don't mean to knock the one who started this thread but how many threads do we need about missing "nasty Prince"? I'd love for him to come back too but he's not here right now. The sooner you guys accept that fact, the greater the possibility that you may enjoy what he puts out now cause you won't be looking for the dirty dude. Besides, he may come back in 5 years, who knows?! If you need nasty Prince that bad, put on Dirty Mind. He's all over that thing.

These days he seems to be careful about everything he says and does, just isn't the same. Lucky the music harnessed alot of that angst and passion and fearlessness that he once had. I don't expect him to be in his prime his whole life, and its totally his choice if he wants to be mellow now he's in his 50s, I get that, but I do miss the Prince that was edgy, dangerous dynamic and challenged society as an artist.
