What happened to the Cloud guitar? This may have been covered. Ive been off here for quite a while. But what happened to the cloud guitar? Last time I saw him use it was on the Las Vegas Alladin DVD. Well, he was holding it on the Superbowl promo, but he didnt play it.
I remember on the Alladin dvd, he covereed it up with his hanky after ripping through "Whole Lotta Love". Was that symbolic of him retiring the cloud? | |

You act like this is an absurd suggestion. From you or me, perhaps - but from Prince, it is entirely within the realm of possibility. He refers to his songs as "children" and talks about his music instruments as lovers - so don't denigrate someone thinking he may've retired his cloud guitar on live DVD - it makes sense, in the context of Prince's behavior. | |

Prince seems to have grown comfortable with the tremolo bar, and is using it now more than ever in live situations. The Habibi Symbol had one, but the Clouds never did. I love the Cloud guitars. Hopefully, he'll get one routed out and rebuilt with a Floyd Rose. Fuck those fugly face-in-a-crowd Strats. Jimi owned the Strat anyway. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

At the end, he is shown tossing dirt into a grave that contained his gloves, chain hat and gun microphone. That was his symbolism (pardon the pun) of him burying Prince and becoming the Symbol. | |
