i think alot of people have lost the wonderment of listening/seeing a man so prodigiously talented that he can do it all

I'm always astounded by it. Especially when I think of all the tiny sound elements that he drops in here and there. (Like that little "twing" at the beginning of Erotic City.) Does he hear these things in his head down to that level of miniscule detail? How does that happen?

Apropos of nothing, I always think the "Hey, you!" opener of the extended Mountains sounds like David Bowie. And I love that he put steel drums on the song.

But on the topic at hand, to further what we were talking about, it's another reason to reconsider the Batman album as well, because the instrumentation was not only coordinated with each other but also with certain scenes in the movie, which is impressive, considering he did that himself.

The arrangement of the background vocals on Parade is nice too, because sometimes it's like there are things hidden in plain sight on the album that shed a whole new light on the song.

I really do believe he is that detailed. Its crazy as hell. I have no idea how he does it... Just as long as he keeps doing it.

Truth is as soon as Prince tried doing everything himself for real the music began to sound real average. He's still mega-talented, but that other world, next level thing he seemed to have going was all a fat lie.

Sure, we got stevie and he is remarkable but, it's not Prince calibre! Stevie never left his genre...his comfort zone. Prince... damn...

This ONE MAN has done it all! From genius, perfect Pop songs like When Doves Cry (imo, the best Pop song ever), to Soul, Funk, his OWN genre - the Mplsound, classical, acoustic, jazz, rock, country, rap, hip hop, oriental flavours...i could go on.

Its not like he's just having a pop at it, it's him being a master at whatever he tries and making it seem like it was him just having a pop at whatever it is!
He's writing, producing, arranging it all, ONE MAN!

I see this guy do a guitar solo and im like, wow! He's one of the best ive seen do that!
Then i see him take the piano and think exactly the same!

Lovesexy tour, he does this unbelievable piano section which mellows out the mood and has you in a trance. Then he disappears and re-emerges with his guitar as a rock god...seriously, this guy is inhuman.
This kinda thing carries on today of course, 21 nights, piano section in the same vein and then suddenly bursts into Lolita and gets every body up! Then after the mainshow, straight to the aftershow for a 2 hour heavy rock show. INHUMAN.

Even without an instrument, this guy can dance and choreograph! I don't know...

He's still bringing it too. CHERISH IT.

So much diversity in one career and done by ONE MAN. One person's weak Prince album is anothers strong album.

ONE MAN.

The more i talk about him, the more firm i am on his "Best ever" title.

No one compares....Stevie had a string of very good songs, but, he's not even CLOSE....
