I agree. It doesnt have that "I could listen to this album everyday" quality to it. Theres no songs that GRAB you enough that you really care to keep it handy in your car. Lotus Flower on the other hand has a few tracks that you can listen to over and over and over. To me nothing on Planet earth is worth listen to numerous times. Im still jamming to Crimson and Clover, Dreamer, No more candy 4 u, Chocolate box, and Colonized mind. I quit jamming to Planet Earth within a month of buying it. Again...just MY opinion. second We are all so full of here

planet earth makes me take a big
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I think Planet Earth is middling... But at least it's short.
I think Mr. Goodnight is kinda good in the ridiculous/bad-good fashion, and I like Chelsea Rodgers. Wish Prince sang on it more. Guitar is an embarassment in my opinion. For a song that is supposed to be a display of his guitar prowess, he centers the song on an absolutely bullshit riff. Beh.

It's just that the music got better as time went on. Musicology blew monkey balls. 3121 was pretty decent. Planet Earth is a really good album.
I'm in this camp, I used the analogy of the new Star Wars prequels when it came out. Musicology was The Phantom Menace, 3121 was AOTC, and Planet Earth was Revenge Of The Sith (complete with references to the classic material). Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Absolutely love PLANET EARTH. There are a couple songs that are ehh, but definitely one of the strongest albums in recent years. "The voter is less important than the man who provides money to the candidate," - Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens

Damn straight! still weaker than 3121. I don't about weaker than the lotus 3. Lotus and Mnpl are really different from the direction that P seemed to be going in. I wonder what will be next? btw, I still haven't listened to Elixer. We are all so full of here

"I go to Earth when Mars is boring" YES! I SAID IT!
