today there will be a documentary about prince and mj on the french/german channel ARTE. It starts at 21.00 Cet and its called doctor Prince and mister jackson. its from 2009 and may contain some new infos about prince.....

It was a very good documentary with new and previously unseen interviews of Eric Leeds, Alan Leeds, Wendy and Lisa, Nelson George, etc.. Very well done.

I just got done watching it, too, and I was positively surprised.
Would have wished for a little more music or some full music videos, but the overall impression I got was really good.

I liked how they put emphasis on the fact that Prince indeed was the musician among the two. (All those other MJ documentaries out there right now call Michael all those fancy names, how innovative and creative his music was, and everything - well, hold on, HIS music? This one actually admitted that he was a singer and a dancer, but not a lot more of a real musician.)

Also, the people that were talking and sharing their stories were authentic, and not just random 'celebrity specialists'. I loved how they had Lisa and Wendy there, for example.

All in all, I really enjoyed watching it. I recorded it, so I might watch again tomorrow.

Definitely well done, but it was 100% obvious that this was intended to run much longer and was only rushed out now to fit the sign o the times. I would have loved to see the complete documentary as originally intended, but i don't think this will see the light..

Up to 1987 they told both stories pretty much in detail, and then they didn't even mention Sign O' The Times and just briefly mentioned the whole Warner Brothers Deal... like Prince didn't produce amazing music in the 1990ies, too. And it really sucked that they didn't say anything about how he still releases an album almost every year. And no word about LOTUSFLOW3R or MPLSound.

Still don´t understand why the mods deleted my thread. I posted the first thread about this yesterday and I also said what the docu was about, provided a link and mentioned that Alan Leeds would be interviewed.
They deleted it without even giving me an explanation.


It´s a PRINCE docu, nevertheless.

Telling me dont be rediculous is insane when the other threads have been locked as well, its a FACT!!! So if one was locked and stated by a MOD to put those threads in a specific place OR warned if one started a thread relating ot MJ it will be locked WHY start one with MJ/Prince in the title(this is stated in the first link i posted)?????
