Michael Jackson

Mick Jagger brought a record out with Michael Jackson. Has he ever made any comments on the superstar's death?
Also, have any other the other artists who became Jehovah's Witnesses like Jackson did, such as Prince, George Benson & William DeVaughn, ever said anything about the tragedy?

I personally would love to see Michael Jackson say a thing or two about his own death. Hell, we could make it a 'weekend at Bernies' type of spectacle. I'd pay to go see that at the 02 a few times at least.

George Benson performed a concert on the day that MJ died and he dedicated a song to him ("Greatest Love Of Love").

I honestly don't understand. Why do people expect celebrities to have to talk about another celebrity death? I really don't understand it,

Is this a US thing?

Dear Dayclear,
contrary to what anyone might say, this thread is NOT in the wrong forum.
It is asking what PRINCE said about MJ's death, so in effect it is on the subject of PRINCE.
You do understand, don't you?

It's gonna get locked anyway. The mods have made it very clear that ALL MJ posts are to be in the MJ stickies.

Hey philipdalton....you didn't respond.

Why do you think a celebrity has to verbally respond to another celebrity dying?

I guess I don't mean you in particular as this isn't the first time I've seen this question and that's why I'm asking..... confused

They don't have to, it's entirely up to them whether they do or not, but in this case many have.

Paul had great things to say on The Late Show last week about MJ. He said he was super talented, very sweet. And the whole publishing purchase thing wasn't quite as big of a "feud" as the media made it out to be. He understood it was business, and actually thought MJ was joking when he said "I'm going to buy your music, Paul." You might still find the interview on YouTube or CBS.com

Entertainment Tonight took tiny clips and made the story into something totally different than what Paul said or felt. They kept saying it was a big feud, and that Paul had something to say about THAT on The Late Show. It wasn't that at all, and it was just ridiculous. E.T. used to be a decent entertainment reporting program. Now it's just tabloid like all the rest.
