I pick Musicology. While I really like Future Baby Mama and Somewhere Here on Earth. I dislike Lion of Judah and Resolution more than I could any song on Musicology.

I always thought The One U Wanna C should have been released on Country Radio.

Not joking.
It's such a Shania-type song. They could've done it live at one of the country award shows. lol

lol

I mean it. I seriously think that song (it's style combined with the WTF-Prince on country radio?? factor) could've gotten Country Radio play.

I absolutely agree. It's the only recent albumn I listen too from start to finish regularly. Not only do I think it's better than Musicology, I also think it's better than 3121, Lotus and MPLS.

Great album, that brings back great memories from the O2

I've played Planet Earth way more than I've played Musicology. Musicology has some good tracks but there's something missing for me. It never really grabbed me enough. The only thing I really don't like on PE is Chelsea Rodgers.

I think it feels out of place with the rest of the album, I burned a copy with FUNK there instead and it flows much better for me.

Musicology. More coherent album whereas Planet Earth is good but all over the place.

MUSICOLOGY
1.Musicology 5/5
2.Illusion... 4/5
3.A Million Days 4/5
4.Life O' The Party 4/5 (I know many will disagree)
5.Call My Name 4/5
6.Cinnamon Girl 5/5
7.What Do You Want 3/5
8.Marrying Kind 3/5
9.If I Was... 3/5
10.On The Couch 4/5
11.Dear Mr Man 5/5
12.Reflection 3/5

Not a bad song in there

Planet Earth
1.Planet Earth 4/5
2.Guitar 3/5
3.Somewhere Here... 2/5
4.The One U Wanna See 3/5 (slightly better than Guitar)
5.Future Baby Mama 5/5
6.Mr Goodnight 3/5
7.All The Midnights... 3/5
8.Chelsea Rodgers 4/5 (but it's not Prince singing)
9.Lion Of Judah 5/5
10.Resolution 3/5

In fact Musicology is one of my favourites this decade probably behind only Rainbow Children and Lotus Flower (the single disc not the whole 3-cds set)

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Lyrically and musically Resolution is the cornier than a turd after the 4th of July picnic.

Probably the 3rd corniest/cheesiest song since Graffiti Bridge and Cherry Cherry for me.

Yeah, Resolution is like the stepchild of "Reflection" or something. "Lion of Judah" isn't too great either.

Those two are my only real issue with Planet Earth.
On the spot, I couldn't stand Planet, but looking back I do think it gets a worse wrap than it deserves. (Lawd have I gone soft?)
I have more of a mental block about it. When I give in and play it, I don't hate it at all. Guitar was my ringtone forever.

It seems to be a common opinion that Resolution is corny, I read it in some review too. I personally think it's a positive song both lyrically and musically. Especially the intro is very good.
