Anyone notice Prince now?

As I am a big fan of Prince and MJ it was like this:

As MJ had not brought out any new music or he wasnt doing much in the public eye, I lost intrest in him and was over playing Prince (not a bad thing lol!)

But ever since the death of MJ I have found myself going days and days without playing any of Prince's songs and its all about the MJ at the moment.

If people are sick of MJ talk then dnt post, sorry if people are annoyed about it, but I wanted to ask if this is the same with u guys?

It's only been, what, 6 days since MJ died? For some reason, saying days and days, makes it seem like longer. I have sometimes had periods where I didn't play Prince for 6 days, even though MJ hadn't died.

Have you not played Prince at all since MJ died? I've played the odd MJ tune but still playing plenty of Prince and others. In fact, I played more MJ when the O2 concerts were announced, as he was back in the public eye here in England. So when he died, I didn't feel the need to play him specifically as I'd had my fix in the previous weeks.
RIP sad

My intense MJ-period was years ago. I still like him though. But I didn't start listening to MJ when he died. Of course I thought about him more and read news about his tragic passing but I didn't start playing his stuff again. I still listen to Prince much more than other artists.

Even when I am not playing Prince on the stereo...I still hear him singing in my mind throughout the day.

I hope this is true...I have heard on the radio that Michael's rehearsals for the "O2," were taped and may be released on DVD....Heard it through the grapevine...like I say...I hope it's true. cool

I've been watching all the stuff on TV and internet but I have no urge to pop in any M J music. I have listened to Prince and he sounds even better now. Michael was good but nothing like Prince.

Thank God Almighty that Prince didn't go first. For Real !

I have never been much of a MJ fan, there's only about 4 or 5 songs I like from him, and even though I'm very sad he's dead, I still don't have a desire to be a fan of his or even listen to anymore of his music (it's everywhere for Buddha's sakes). As for Prince, I can go for months sometimes years not listening to him.
