Leno Afterparty at Dominic's After the taping of the Leno Show, Prince's bodyguard came out and told anyone in earshot to go to Dominic's. After a few hours we went there and found it to be a VERY small upscale restaurant that was too small for a performance. So we knew a show just wasn't going to happen.
What DID happen, though, was Prince and the band (including Sheila E) showed up for dinner around 11pm. They actually cleared about 50 people out of the bar area so Prince could enter and be seated. We were NOT amused! LOL When everyone settled down and got reseated, DJ Duddley started spinning Prince tunes. Of course we created our own dance floor in the walkway of the bar! I was really impressed with the songs that were played. There were a couple instrumental jazz jams that were played (from Xenophobia?) that Prince was really feelin'. It was really cool to see his reactions to his songs. Seeing him and Sheila bobbin' their heads to Love Sign was a trip! LOL At one point, Renato was dancing with Sheila and a few other people in their party. I love the guy, but he has NO RHYTHM Prince left about an hour and a half later but we kept on dancing! Even though there wasn't a show, we definitely partied up!! PeaceNluv, Chris G.

Well Prince and Sheila E.'s fountain of youth come from being ppl of color...its something mainly ppl of african heritage including latino have that allows them to age gracefully with age. We usually start to age later on in our old age.
they looked great! | |

they looked great! I haven't seen many people of colour looking like Prince does at his age, and I grew up in Brixton, London, plus my dad is black. Acutally I think mixed race people are the eternally young ones. Me and my sybling all look a lot younger than we are, as do many mixed race people I have met. If I am not mistaken, Prince is racially mixed, so that would probably be it.

I was there as well, it was really cool
The instrumental tracks were very funky & Prince was air playing all the intruments at the table - he looked so damn cool! They did not mingle, however, after Sheila danced she did say "Thank You" 2 the entire audience/bar & waved 2 all of us - we all waved back at her as she prepared 2 sit back down. Dancing 2 all those Prince tunes reminded me of the old Glam Slam days - u get 2 hear the coolest, non-commercial tracks, like PoomPoom, Big Fun, and Good Life, along w/many others... I wanna thank my wonderful boyfriend who was very tired & did not feel like leaving the house but went with me anyways 2 make me happy... He really enjoyed 'When U were Mine' & 'Everlasting Now', of course we really got freaky on that selfmade dance area when they played 'Gett Off'... not 2 mention the very cool other Hip Hop songs that were spun (Missy Elliott, etc.) www.3121.com
it is the symbol of total transformation. Butterfly represents a need for change and greater freedom, and at the same time it represents courage: one requires courage to carry out the changes

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown
