I think that Little Red Corvette is definitely Prince's most clever song. I think I actually appreciate that song more and more as the years go by.
This song came out before I was a Prince fan, and it wasn't until years later that I listened to it for it's creativity, not just for it's catchy hook. And of course, I had no idea what it was about when I was an 11 year old kid when it first came out. Very clever man, that Prince guy.
... and the ride is so sweeeeet... you must be a limousine. The way that line is delivered is legendary! The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else! |
