Anyone have anymore info? How rare is it? In the scheme of things it is not particularly rare. In fact, I think you can still get a copy from a global musice dealer, although at a fairly inflated price.ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Here's some info...
Prince: The Crown Jewels Cat.No. SAM 1037 For Promotional Use Only 1. 1999 (6:19) 2. Little Red Corvette (3:09) 3. When Doves Cry (3:50) 4. Purple Rain (4:07) 5. Raspberry Beret (3:35) 6. Kiss (3:39) 7. Anotherloverholenyohead (3:26) 8. Sign O' The Times (3:47) 9. I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man (3:41) 10. Alphabet St. (2:28 ) 11. Batdance (Batmix edit) (4:15) 12. Partyman (3:08 ) 13. Gett Off (alternate UK 7" edit) (4:01) 14. Diamonds And Pearls (4:47) 15. Money Don't Matter 2nite (4:14) 16. Thieves In The Temple (3:20) This promotional compilation was made in 1992 for use in UK record shops (possibly just the 'OurPrice' chain) to help promote the album. It was distributed to stores about 2 weeks in advance of the album's release, so they could play a selection of Prince's hits during the busy lunchtime period to generate interest and anticipation for the forthcoming album. It's still quite a desirable promo due to the inclusion of several otherwise hard to find / unavailable on CD single edits. Particularly.. Batdance (the batmix edit), Alphabet St (7" edit) & Little Red Corvette (7" edit). It's also worth noting that the UK single edit of Gett Off is radically different to the album version, as it includes parts from the extended mix.
