This is such a pretty song.

The emotion of this song is such a tug on the heart. Prince seems to be expressing love yet fearful of this relationship.

The lyrics, "If U learn to open your eyes under water, then U and I won't drown without eachother...I promise I'll see U on the other side. If U just believe in me and trust this ride." I don't know what to make of these lines. Do You?

I don't know which Donny Hathaway song Prince is referring 2 either, I'm not familiar with his music.

This song, "A song For You," is beautiful. Prince mentioning this song in his song, "HERE," shows how deep his love runs for this love of his life.

Here is one of the best songs on MPLSound. Most impressive is the emotional depth in the lyrics. A highlight musically is the part that begins with: "There's so much more 4 you and me 2 explore, Ooh baby baby". The part about opening your eyes under water seems to be about learning to listen to each other more and resolve the issues.

Prince says...I promise I'll see U on the other side. Does that mean I have 2 die first?

I felt like the "open your eyes under water" and "see u on the other side" had to do with her baptism into Jehovah's Witnesses for him. Cuz u know it's a must if u wanna be with P.
