Because, you know, in my pc Power Fantastic is tagged as it is from "The Hits 3 (1993)" and LastHeart "The Short Album (2007)", both weren't included on the released version. And the quality on both of them is normal, not bootleg.. whats the short album? squirrelgrease said: SUPRMAN said: A good live set is 'Xenophobia.' I was there at the 2002 Celebration. I can't bring myself to acquire the Xenophobia boots. I don't want to taint my memories. Is that weird? the 13cds are amazing tho. the acoustic one is my fav. if you wern't at that one, i would download it. Actually, he referred to it as "Looking For A Penny In A Large Room With No Light". Hmmmm - that's not necessarily definitive. It may not have had a name yet when they recorded it so he may have just called it that... "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

I'm going to assume someone somewhere (like the guys at Uptown) has seen the studio work sheets or something like that with the title on, or had it confirmed by band members/engineers. Things like 'Welcome 2 The Ratrace', 'Expert Lover' (Crystal Ball) and 'A Better Place 2 Die' (Moonbeam Levels) haven't been used for years and years except for when folks come across old bootleg CDs (or ripped, ahem, online) like 'Crucial'. . I actually like the Full-Length 'Saxophone' version of Crucial better than the 'Guitar Solo'. IMHO the Saxophone *makes* that song.
I remember getting Crystal Ball and *HOPING* that it was the Sax version on there (and that it wasn't cut from the 7:15 version). I was disappointed on both counts.

[Edited 7/1/09 13:45pm] I'm assuming the same, and was aware that "In a Large Room with No Light" is the accepted title, I was just wondering what the basis was. I don't own any Prince books, but I was guessing the Vault or something would have details. "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

ASCAP lists Prince as the writer of Welcome 2 The Rat Race, and there is no listing for In a Large Room with No Light (or any variation). You obviously have a solid foundation for your argument. http://www.ascap.com/ace/...10&start=1 ASCAP 665 . WELCOME 2 THE RAT RACE (Title Code: 533026314)

It's called "Prince with M.Davis & Friends", recorded live at Paisley Studios during rehearsal in february 1989 Prince has never 'officially' recorded with Miles Davis, a lot of talk but nothing materialized....that I know of. Prince would only record something with Miles by mail, meaning he would send the song to Miles to add his trumpet/wind instrument. But I don't believe anything happened Crucial is recorded with Eric Leads Atlanta Bliss and other Revolution members The 1987/88 New Years Even Show guested Miles Davis at Paisley Park on a few songs. I love the live Movie Star instrumental http://prince.org/msg/7/304568 reply #111 . [Edited 7/2/09 15:19pm] [Edited 7/2/09 15:22pm]
