James Brown - Michael Jackson & Prince

Wonder how Prince would feel if he were to view the infamous video from the 80's where all three heavy weights are up on stage together.

The Godfather and King are forever gone, all that's left is the Prince.

Be well, Prince.

Kindest Regards

Exactly, the 21st century has taken these artists but their music will continue to live on.
As a dj I know this 1st hand.
I was spinning the other night & some dude kept pestering me to play
Luther's - never 2 much
I had the floor packed with the usual bangers of lmfao, pitbull & gaga and quite surprisingly not 2 many left the floor.
All that 2 say that their musical genius will transcend through days, years, decades.

Play Michaels Billie Jean and all ages, all colors and ethnic races pop in on the floor.

Pitbull; hard pressed to get my 40 & up group to dance to Culo.
All the Chris Brown, Usher & Neyo are cool for this time in space but will they rock a dance floor 20 years from now.
I'm afraid to say yes due to the content being released today, comparatively to what will be released in the future.

Probably all the greats of the 80s will still be rockin the dance floor in the future.

The only artist I know that has recorded with all 3 of them is George Clinton.

He'd probably feel like a dickhead for getting up onstage with the man who he would come to be the most influenced by, and acting like a prissy rockstar. MJ makes a deeply respectful, earnest attempt to perform with his idol, and Prince takes the piss out of the whole thing. I usually spend most of my time sticking up for Prince, but in this case I think he was being an arrogant little so-and-so. It's okay, Miles Davis gave him a taste of his own medicine years later!

yeah, this video has always bugged me a little bit, looking at it as a Prince fan. while it's an incredible moment to have the 3 of them onstage, I've always thought Prince came off as a major ass in it. and he got what he deserved when he fell on his ass.
