darkest in the sense, either evil, depressing, negative, etc..you pick..but the vibe has to remind the same..dark..

I can only say that I thought that the, "Black Album," was agressive and I only heard the album a couple of times...and put it away.

I don't find anything else that Prince has written as negative. There are some songs that seem a little sad, but that's all in the life of a writer pouring himself out. Prince in my opinion is overall, uplifting, positive, and spiritual.

"Solo" for sure is his darkest song. If you print out the lyrics it reads like a suicide note

I always found Had u pretty dark but I don't think anything Prince has done matches the darkness of There are other's here with. They lyrics and the production are just plain scary. Papa is also dark especially given how personal the lyrics seem to be which is really pretty rare for Prince.

Papa is dark.

also, just for how the ending changes what would seem to be a very upbeat, joyous song into something more sinister...extra loveable. though in opinion, everyone says how the rape line is the dodgy part...id say it gets a bit dark when the lines about his dad coming back 'to haunt you physically/mystically'...just has a dark feel to that line for me.

jerk out... the changed lyrics change the whole feel of the song on his/mazarati version. certainly not the fun/happy song that the time do.
