Email about the ona box.

I emailed npg@gage last week to ask them where the hell my box set was.To my surprise no answer at all. More than a week later I finally got a response after sending 3 emails. My box was shipped 12/10! Last time it took over 2 weeks before it arrived meaning that my box set will arrive around christmas.According to the club a member will have new music first before anyone else. But the box will be in stores for at least a week by the time I have it! I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS! If there are any people who don't have the box yet, let me know! I'm not getting what I was promised so I want a refund! They will not do that but when there are more people involved we could have a case here! They went too far this time! (by the way I live in Holland)

buddy...it's a shipping mistake...not a personal vendetta against you. Have you seen the box set in stores where you live yet? well keep a close eye on it...let me know if you get your set before you actually see the set in stores.

I just want another set that Lori promised me because they sent me a set with sratches on the tour-book and bent edges on the box with Prince's face and You Know well I am Not having this! I told Lori that my mail is Meassed up and to send it Specially packed and also,well why do I have to keep 4 tour books that are Bent when I only ordered1? Please Lori is not Doing a good job if she Doesn't get it Right the First time in a Non-Bendable Package! It's Bull-Crap to have to pay for Her Mistake! I Told her to put it in a Non-bendable mailer! What does she think? I know my Mail.

I'm not saying it's a personal vendetta against me, it's just that I'm not getting what I paid for! And I don't give a fuck that it is a shipping mistake! In that case they should've started shipping sooner!

Mistakes happen...it just sux that it happened to you. All I'm saying is...You WILL receive what you paid for..eventually. You're right..they should have started earlier...but they didn't.
let me guess...you got a reply from gage by a girl named Lori right? she seems to be the only girl responding to e-mails...cut her some slack, I'm sure she'd love some assistance, but it's just her...and she did reply, I'm sure as soon as she could.
so when you do get your set you want a refund? you'll want your whole 100 back because you set was a few days late? Do you think that sounds rational?
***disclaimer***
for the record, I'm just discussing this...I happen to have a different opinion, but I by no means think my opinion is better than yours or that you don't have the right to be upset...You have every right to be upset...I'm just providing an opposing opinion...that's all. This is a disscusion board. smile

Well,she never answered my e-mail. She said she was sending me a replacement on Dec 4th and I still don't have it. At least she should get back to me as a courtesy as I sent her several e-mails. I know I am Not the only one but I could get in touch with UPS or Fed-Ex if I Knew what she did.Communication Is the Key!

No, it would be mail fraud if they never sent it at all. I'm not sure how long it takes for things to get to Holland, but I'm sure the U.S. holiday season has to be slowing things down even more.
But I work for the postal service and you don't have a case for mail fraud. Especially when so many people actually received it.
Try to get a tracking number and method of shipment for your box set.

Using a Fulfillment House or Drop-Shipper
Q: Who is liable for Rule violations caused by a fulfillment house or drop shipper?

A: The seller is. This is because the person soliciting the order, not the agent fulfilling it, is the seller under the Rule. The person soliciting the order can control -- among other things -- the shipment representations made in soliciting the sale and the choice of fulfillment houses. The seller can adjust the shipment representations to include the time needed to transmit orders to a fulfillment house and for the fulfillment house to respond.

However, staff considers the following circumstances when deciding whether to recommend an enforcement action:

whether the merchant made all reasonable efforts to prevent violations, including, e.g.,
contracting with the fulfillment house to require it to comply with the Rule (or, at least, require it to promptly inform the merchant of any problems that could involve the Rule);
"seeding" orders with the fulfillment house to monitor its fulfillment time; and
monitoring customer complaints for unusual surges.
whether the violations were genuinely unforeseeable and beyond the merchant’s control to prevent;
whether the merchant, from all objective circumstances, did not know and did not have reason to know of the violations when they occurred; and,
whether the merchant promptly took all reasonable steps to remedy the fulfillment, notification, or refund systems failures as soon as it discovered them, and to remedy any resulting customer injury.

I live in NYC and have not recieved the box set - Gage Marketing sent it to the wrong address!

I have had litle communication from Gage, other than 'sorry' we shipped it to the wrong address (No explaination or detail of how they were going to fix the problem). I have not got the set, and do not expect to recieve it before the holidays... I guess I will have to buy it at retail tomorrow... Very disappointing... Bad comunication, bad customer service... shame on the club as this reflects very badly on the Prince organisation for allowing this type of thing to happen...

What to do??

I do agree with you Natasha that good communication is the key. This is a newly developed business that will take approx 3 years to right the wrongs, mistakes will happen.

I respectfully disagree.
The club has had earlier reincarnations in 1-800 newfunk since 1997 and for example the Crystal ball sending, they have had their beginners mistakes a long time ago already.
