LotusFlow3r Billboard Chart Info with Visualizer

Interesting!
With Billboard's new Visualizer flash program (on the new billboard.com website), you can get all of P's chart info from his entire career.

For example, the entire run of LotusFlow3r is there:

Billboard 200:
Peak Position #2
Weeks On: 13 (2-9-15-19-27-23-55-57-72-51-133-144-out from 7/11/09, rentered #157 on 7/25/09, now out again)

R&B/Hip-Hop Albums:
Peak Position: #1
Weeks On: 16 (1-1-2-6-7-8-7-17-16-23-10-36-37-46-60-33-57)
Current Postion: #57

Independent Albums:
Peak Position #1
Weeks On: 16
Current Position: #47

According to Billboard, although Purple Rain is easily Prince biggest selling album, it only comes in 3rd place in time spent on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.

#1 1999 (95 weeks on Billboard 200 Album Chart)

#2 Sign 'O The Times (54 weeks on Billboard 200 Album Chart)

#3 Purple Rain (50 weeks on Billboard 200 Album Chart)

I don't think those numbers I posted are correct. I could have sworn that 1999 spent about 150 weeks on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.

It did. I actually spent 153 weeks on the album chart. PR spent 72 weeks on the chart. Now that was both during their initial runs (1982-1985). Since then both albums have spent some time on the Billboard Pop Catalog charts. I believe Billboard has added those weeks as well to the two amounts mentioned above (I don't have those updated figures on-hand however. I hope that helped.
