I'm glad Prince is staying quiet right now-- giving his moment of silence 4 MJ as we reflect on his music and his legacy. I believe he did the same thing 4 JB when he died when his website went dark. In due time, I know Prince will pay tribute 2 MJ by doing a cover version of one of his songs-- preferably a piano version of She's Out of My Life. I will bawl if he does that. Goodbye MJ... sad

I think that we can all tastefully agree that Prince is probably feeling this.

Peace.

We agree. It would be a pretty good bet this is affecting Prince.

Why would he do that? Like Michael was his girlfriend or something? disbelief
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Of course he's feeling it. Unlike Prince and Madonna (the three Class of 1958), MJ was making classic music while the other two were playing hopscotch.

This will bring home to Prince his mortality and the fact he no children or a stable lovelife. Maybe Prince will cut the bullshit and finally grow up

So...wat you're sayin is that he can't be considered a grown man jus cause he has no children nor a stable love life? confused
Is that your reasonin?
I jus want clarification cause that's not logical at all.

Prince has been more of a 'father' to some kids than some birth 'dads' who have their own 'blood' children. Prince gives to charities that feed and school children unlike lots of 'REAL DADS' who do little to nothing for their offspring. Abuse and neglect are not being counted as things fathers 'give' here. disbelief

I usuaslly stay out of these types of conversations but I'll promise U one thing. If Prince chose to be a father and or have a stable love life then he could have it today. There are so many families that are 'step' families, are you saying that none of these men are REAL FATHERS?. Please don't judge anyone because they aren't raising their own 'blood child.' Different people have different talents and are used in different ways. For the time being, Prince is enriching his relationship with his maker so that he will be the best he can be at whatever he does.

Poor Prince, he can never get away from it-James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, now Michael Jackson. Poor Goo.

Get away from what? Death is something that we all experience and a road we will eventually walk down.

I'm sure there are more important people in Prince's life that have passed on other than MJ, Hendrix, etc. Two for sure, his mother and father. No matter what they may have experienced as a family, I'm sure that their deaths affected him much more than MJ's ever would.

clapping exactly some sense!

He will be shocked like the rest of the world to MJ's death but hes has felt greater loss in the past than some man he was not even related to, so his world doesnt stop he has other priorties.
Hes probably has his own reasons to be quiet now but i doubt if its coz hes too distraught to speak lol

...unfortunately..because society doesn't honor the soul and the bigger picture of our lives..prince doesn't have to speak-public about it...
..and sometimes our egos are quick to rise to our defense..but we need to remind ourselves that prince don't need to prove anything to anyone.....skeptics will see only what they want to see..anyway..if prince can avoid this kind of situation..do...

Ithink prince is feeling this too.

What many dont know is Prince and Michael had an odd relationship. Some music critics and musicbiographers said that Michael even though he was the King of POP and was very popular in our music culture. He really wanted to be like Prince.ie a ladies man popular withthe women etc.. Ialso remember readingthat Michael was upset and a lil jealous at prince because even though Michael had won 8 Grammies he still wanted one thing and that was an Oscar which Purple Rain the movie did win.

Ifeel when Prince became a JW he developed a certain fondness for Michael
that was shown not too long ago when Prince spoke highly about Michael during Michael's trial. Ialso rembering reading on this forum how Prince at one of his mini concertsnot toolong ago actually played a couple of songs by MJ.
