My discs are still in the player. They're never going back into that goofy-ass sleeve. I'll put them in a jewel-case for storage.

My disc have only left the sleeve/cover once. I put the songs on my iPod,so I have no need to keep taking them in,and out of the sleeve/cover. Mine is just like new. smile

MY "LotusFlow3r," cd is safe and sound sitting next to the cd.player, along with, "Planet Earth." I try to be gentle and careful with my cd's...Most of my officially realeased Prince music is still in great shape. Out of everything I have about 3 skips...and 3 tattered covers. cool

All of my digipak CDs get put immediately into a normal jewel case and the original paper covers get put into their own box.

CDs get ripped immediately into iTunes as Lossless and AAC versions (for the iPod) and the CD never gets used again.

Like most people the covers are mint, because the CDs came out once to be downloaded on to the ipod. Ocaasionally they go to work and on to a CD player, but they sit in my bedroom doors with several other Prince CDS that have original contents and are in nearly original condition (My copy of Rave is still like new!!!!). My Indigo nights CD sits in the book, both are making an excellent coster for a plate with a brass bowl full of gems, shells and my late mothers and my own pendulums.

No kidding
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

i've always thought prince's covers were unique, including lotus.
other covers that immediately stand out in my mind are TRC, the
symbol cd, ATWIAD

A church called Sagrada Família in Barcelona. The Sacrifice Of Victor book also includes shots from this photo session.

Do you Americans still have those long cases, what a waste of paper, in New Zealand our CD cases are the same size as the CD (A Few mm larger)

No more longboxes, not for at least 15 years. Some artists release taller "deluxe" packaging (McCartney, Green Day, U2) but those are not just extra paper - they're part of the packaging.

The trend seems to be moving away from plastic jewel cases too, with a lot of new releases going to the "digipak".

My car stereo plays MP3's so I copied all 3 discs to my computer in MP3 format then burned those MP3's to a single CD-R. That way I only have to mess with one disc while the flimsy cardboard sleeve is safe at home.

Actually, I've done that with most of my Price CD's. Even at 320 kbps you can get about 5 albums to a disc. I tried going with a lower bit rate to squeeze more music on a disc but it was kind of irritating having to hit the skip button 72 times if I was in the mood for "Girls & Boys" instead of "For You".
