sadly, the way radio is set up these days, anytime i hear a block of music by an "established" artist, i automatically think something bad has happened. anybody else get that feeling?

can we let Prince be for 1 day ..... and not usher him into death while he is with us

yes usually when lots of songs are played it's a tribute or their passing.

I get that way scanning the TV cable guide and I see a couple of movies by the same star in a row. Like, two Harrison Ford movies, or a few Jason Statham movies in a row. I immediately think, "OMG Tribute marathon!" I always go check just to be sure someone didn't die. Not frantic, but I do check.

They had a show here in Paddyland where they featured a different artist each week. They played about 10 Prince tracks on Prince night and re-aired the same show a year later.

A radio station where I live still plays a good number of Prince songs, the played the hell out of Prince leading up to the LotusFlower release: it was interesting because the played a mix of live and studio music, I don't listen to that station as much but I did that night and there are like 6-8 live/studio songs by Prince back to back

THANK YOU!!!

Bunch of morbid so-and-sos up in here... disbelief
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
